Job Summary
Diagnose and fix vehicles for guests while completing full, accurate, and honest courtesy inspections. Troubleshoot guest concerns quickly by working as part of a team to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results. Continuously build experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles while promoting high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization. Communicate effectively with the service department and navigate computer systems to efficiently use hand tools.
Required Qualifications
- Positive attitude and a desire to serve guest
- 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
- Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
- Meet or exceed hourly goals
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Professional appearance and strong communication
- A desire for long-term career development
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles
- Efficiently navigate a computer
Desired Qualifications
- ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve
