Job Summary
Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations and replacements, fluid checks and top-offs, and basic inspections. Follow standard procedures to assist with basic diagnostics and identify common issues with guidance while working alongside senior technicians to develop technical skills. Conduct general shop or field support activities, including equipment setup and clean-up, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed. Adhere to all safety, environmental, and compliance standards while ensuring proper maintenance of service, safety, and environmental records. Represent Torque/Ryder to establish a relationship with the customer and learn general knowledge of Torque products and services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Professional diploma preferred
- One (1) to two (2) years or more in related experience
- One (1) to two (2) years or more in strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow standard procedures and instructions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Basic communication skills
- Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles
- Must pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Must pass a DOT physical
- Must pass a Ryder road test
- Must pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
