Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform repairs outlined on multi-point inspection and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including store managers, service consultants, and customers. Recommend services to maintain vehicle running conditions while properly documenting all recommendations in customer files. Follow safety procedures, report concerns to the shop foreman or store manager, and maintain ASE certifications and renewals. Work Monday through Saturday in a shop environment with moderate to loud noises, dust, and extreme temperatures, standing up to eight hours daily and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess current, valid driver's license
- Ability to work Monday - Saturday
- Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Hear and speak
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
