Job Summary
Conduct diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance for customer and dealership vehicles by performing full inspections, troubleshooting, and quality control checks. Execute repair orders as dispatched while ensuring documentation compliance with regulations and standards. Maintain shop safety, appearance, and inventory levels through general functions and vehicle cleanliness during service. Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and Parts personnel, and participate in required GM certification training and staff meetings. Follow all shop policies, procedures, and environmental rules while maintaining a clean work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Basic computer and internet skills
Desired Qualifications
- One year of dealer-level or large facility experience
- Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
