Job Summary
Automotive Technician position at Greensboro Nissan within Hudson Automotive Group. Responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C) per repair orders. Duties include test-driving vehicles, using diagnostic tools, communicating with the Service Advisor on required additional work and time estimates, performing repairs including warranty work per manufacturer specs, coordinating with parts, documenting all service actions, and participating in ongoing training. Requires 3-5 years of automotive technician experience; Nissan/Infiniti experience preferred. Safety compliance, tool care, and adherence to regulations are required. Required Qualifications
- Perform work specified on repair orders
- Test-drive vehicles and diagnose vehicle systems
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
- Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed work and time estimates
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Communicate with parts department to obtain parts
- Document all work on repair orders
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training
- Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and shop area is neat
- Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals
- Understand and comply with regulations (hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know)
- Operate tools and equipment safely
- Pass pre-employment testing including background checks and valid driver's license
