Job Summary
Automotive Technician needed at a dealership service center to diagnose and repair vehicles. Use diagnostic tools and the dealership’s software; establish service center procedures for tracking repairs and maintaining documentation; perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements; conduct thorough inspections of engine, transmission, and brakes; ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business; communicate repair information clearly to customers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
- Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
- Strong customer service and communications skills are required
