Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform multi-point inspections and repairs with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical staff and customers, recommending necessary services to maintain vehicle running conditions while documenting all recommendations. Adhere to MAP guidelines, dealership, and manufacturer standards, following all safety procedures and reporting concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. Maintain ASE certifications and renewals as required. Possess a valid driver's license, be at least 18 years old, and be able to work Monday through Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- Possess current, valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work Monday - Saturday
- Must be able to stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to hear and speak
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
