Job Summary
Automotive Technician provides hands-on learning in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under supervision. Responsibilities include changing oil and performing scheduled maintenance, inspecting steering, suspension, and brake systems, installing batteries and checking electrical systems, performing tire maintenance, installing parts, and road testing vehicles. The role involves interacting with customers to explain repair procedures and deliver high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to drive customer and company vehicles and obtain or maintain ASE certifications within the first two years of employment (tests/fees paid by the company). Preferred qualifications include 2 years of automotive repair experience or completion of a Vocational-Technical School program, ASE certification or equivalent training. The position is based in Nashville, TN with pay range $15.75-$23.67 per hour, and Bridgestone offers benefits, on-the-job training, and opportunities for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Valid automobile driver''s license at all times
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes
- Basic inspections
- Repairing tires
- Reading, writing, and math skills
- A.S.E certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications
