Job Summary
Automotive Technician at Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) responsible for hands-on learning and performing vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance under supervision. You’ll change oil and perform scheduled maintenance, inspect steering/suspension/brake systems, install batteries and check electrical systems, conduct tire maintenance, install parts, and road test vehicles. You may interact with customers to explain repair procedures and provide high-quality service. A goal is to obtain or maintain ASE certifications within the first two years of employment, with company-paid tests/fees. A valid driver's license is required. The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including Oil changes, Basic inspections, Reading, writing, and math skills
- A.S.E certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications (preferred)
- 2 years of automotive repair experience or completion of Vocational-Technical School program or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessment (preferred)
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications A1–A8 within first two years of employment (tests/fees covered by company)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform oil changes, tire maintenance, battery installations, and inspections
- Road test vehicles as part of service procedures
