Job Summary
Automotive Technician at Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) plays a pivotal role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include changing oil and performing scheduled maintenance, inspecting steering, suspension, and brake systems, installing batteries and checking electrical systems, performing tire maintenance, installing parts, and road testing vehicles. The role supports customer communication by explaining repair procedures and providing exceptional service. Preferred qualifications include 2 years of automotive repair experience, vocational-technical training, and ASE certifications. The position offers a salary range of $18.38-$27.62 per hour (flat-rate pay) with commitment to training and professional development, and requires maintaining ASE certifications within the first two years of employment. A valid driver's license is required, and employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) is part of the onboarding process.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes
- Basic inspections
- Reading, writing, and math skills
- 2 years of automotive repair experience (preferred)
- A.S.E certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications (preferred)
