Job Summary
The Automotive Technician role supports Bridgestone Retail Operations by learning and performing oil changes, inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems, battery installations, tire maintenance, and road-testing vehicles. Under supervision, develop foundational diagnostic and repair skills, assist in explaining procedures to customers, and pursue ASE certifications (A1–A8) within the first two years. Requires a valid driver’s license and basic mechanical aptitude; two years of automotive repair experience or vocational training preferred; ASE certifications or equivalent qualifications are valued. Pay is hourly with a flat-rate compensation model; pay range reflects regional productivity and meets minimum wage requirements. This role emphasizes high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment and room for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes
- Basic inspections
- Repairing tires
