Job Summary
Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within the automotive service team. Learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under guidance of experienced technicians; participate in routine inspections, address repair procedures, and interact with customers to explain procedures and provide high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. Pay range reflects flat-rate pay and region-based averages; ASE certifications are supported with company-paid tests. This role emphasizes hands-on learning, handling oil changes, tire maintenance, brake and steering system inspections, battery/electrical checks, road tests, and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes
- Basic inspections
- Repairing tires
- Reading, writing, and math skills
