Job Summary
Automotive Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under guidance of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include oil changes, inspections of steering/suspension/brake systems, installing batteries, checking electrical systems, tire maintenance, installing parts, and road-testing vehicles. Opportunity to obtain ASE certifications within two years (tests/fees paid by company). Compensation includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus for first-time hires and a flat-rate pay structure with regional variability. Must have a valid driver’s license and basic mechanical aptitude; preferred candidates may have 2 years of automotive repair experience or vocational-technical training and ASE or equivalent certifications. Required Qualifications
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
- Must have a valid automobile driver’s license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes
- Basic inspections
- Repairing tires
- Reading, writing, and math skills
- Minimum Qualifications: A.S.E certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications
