Automotive Technician

Automotive Technician role within Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) supporting automotive service teams. You’ll learn and perform diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on vehicles under guidance, participate in routine inspections, address various automotive systems, and assist in repair procedures. Responsibilities include oil changes, inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems, installing batteries and checking electrical systems, tire maintenance, installing parts, and road testing vehicles. Opportunities to interact with customers to explain repair procedures and provide exceptional service. The position emphasizes mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. The role includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus, and a flat-rate pay model with pay reflecting productivity by region; ASE certifications can be pursued with company support (tests/fees paid). Minimum qualifications require basic mechanical task ability, valid driver’s license, and fundamental automotive maintenance knowledge. Preferred qualifications include 2 years of automotive repair experience, vocational-technical training, and ASE certification or equivalent.
