Job Summary
Automotive Technician at Bridgestone BSRO responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Includes performing oil changes, inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems, battery installation, tire maintenance, part installation, road testing, and customer explanations of repair procedures. Requires basic mechanical aptitude, valid driver’s license, and ASE certification or progression toward ASE credentials. Offers a performance-based flat-rate pay model and comprehensive benefits; extensive training and opportunities for certification and professional development are provided. Pay range: $17.50-$26.30 per hour; location at Reynoldsburg, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes
- Basic inspections
- Repairing tires
- Reading, writing, and math skills
- Road test vehicles
- A.S.E certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications
- 2 years of automotive repair experience (preferred)
- Vocational-Technical School program (preferred)
- A.S.E certifications (A1–A8) within first two years of employment (tests/fees covered)
