Job Summary
Conduct basic vehicle repairs and maintenance on inventory cars, including performing emissions testing and vehicle movement. Explain automotive issues to management to minimize re-work and delays while properly documenting all work in DT systems. Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain safety and compliance standards. Maintain a safe and compliant work space by adhering to safety equipment and protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certificate or Associates degree in automotive technology or work experience equivalent (2 years or more) in automotive repair
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- At least 18 years of age
- Proficiency in basic automotive repair
- Ability to meet metric performance targets
- Ability to learn and operate basic computer systems
- Organization and punctuality
- Ability to maintain a safe and compliant work space
- Good communication skills to present findings and share with leadership
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently
- Ability to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet
- Ability to stand for extended period of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling
- Excellent visual acuity
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to communicate in English
- Regular and predictable attendance
