Automotive Technician

Automotive Technician at DriveTime Family of Brands. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, and performing advanced vehicle repairs and maintenance, emissions testing where applicable, vehicle movement, inventory management, repair documentation, and computer utilization. Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on multiple makes and models of DriveTime inventory vehicles. Explain automotive repairs and issues to management to minimize re-work and delays in production. Document all work in DriveTime systems; maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workspace. Requires proficiency in automotive repairs, ability to troubleshoot basic concerns, clear communication of causes and corrections, and meeting performance targets. Must be able to learn and operate basic computer systems and be organized and punctual; maintain safety standards and DriveTime protocols. Educational requirements include a High School Diploma or GED; additional automotive technology training or experience preferred; valid driver’s license and minimum age of 18. This is a safety-sensitive role with regular attendance expectations and physical demands such as lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for extended periods. Location noted is Memphis, TN with company HQ in Tempe, AZ and Dallas, TX; role focuses on on-site automotive service at DriveTime locations nationwide.
