Job Summary
Perform vehicle and test facility setup by instrumenting test vehicles, installing high-speed cameras, and completing mechanical modifications per customer requirements and standard procedures. Operate, repair, and diagnose HV battery systems on electric vehicles while troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and data collection problems with test equipment. Maintain, repair, and upgrade test systems to maximize operational availability, perform equipment calibration, and document results through checklists and MS Office reports. Install safety restraints on test vehicles and execute moderately complex test procedures for engineering and real-time data acquisition.
Required Qualifications
- Automotive Technology Degree
- ASE Certification A6
- 3+ years in related discipline
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
- Troubleshooting mechanical or electrical problems
- Electrical and electronic principles
- Read and understand engineering plans and specifications
- Read drawings and troubleshoot
- Microsoft Office
