Job Summary
Automotive Technician C at MFA Petroleum/Big O Tires in Springdale, AR. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicles, servicing with brake/front-end/alignments, ensuring accurate work documentation for invoicing, training others, maintaining workflow and safety, meeting budgeted service quotas, and delivering quality customer service while leveraging MFA Oil’s benefits and policies. Requires minimum two years in an automotive role, MO inspection license (if applicable), a valid U.S. driver’s license, and ability to work outdoors and in a team environment; ASE certifications and high school diploma/GED are preferred. Also expects readiness for pre-employment screenings and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff; opportunity to advance through internal training and benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of two years of experience as a lube/tire/service technician
- Current Motor Vehicle Inspection License (for Missouri based stores)
- Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
- Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to exchange accurate information with customers
- Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
- Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
- Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors
- Ability to move and position self to move and retrieve product and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing 75 pounds
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
- Legal authorization to work in the United States of America
- Preferred Skills: High school diploma or GED equivalent (also listed)
- Two or more years of experience in an automotive shop environment
- ASE certifications
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Strong verbal communication skills
