Job Summary
Automotive Technician C role diagnosing and repairing vehicles in MFA Oil/MFA Petroleum’s Break Time Big O Tires environment. Tiers A/B/C are defined by ASE certifications, with Technician C requiring no ASE certifications. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicles, maintaining quality control, training and coaching coworkers, managing workflow and productivity, executing vehicle inspection programs, ensuring accurate invoicing, utilizing outside purchase programs for profitability, attending safety and policy meetings, meeting service-related quotas, and performing required trainings. Required: 2+ years as lube/tire/service tech, valid driver’s license, ability to work outdoors and holidays/weekends, willingness to comply with PPE and hazardous materials handling, English literacy, and pre-employment screenings. Preferred: High school diploma or GED, ASE certifications, ability to work independently and in a team, strong communication, sales aptitude, multitasking, and attention to detail. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience as a lube/tire/service technician
- Current Motor Vehicle Inspection License (for Missouri based stores)
- Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
- Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to exchange accurate information with customers
- Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
- Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
- Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors
- Ability to move and position self to move and retrieve product and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing 75 pounds
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment screenings
- Legal authorization to work in the United States of America
- Preferred Skills
