Job Summary
Automotive Technician role at Bridgestone Retail Operations involves learning and performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles under supervision. Responsibilities include changing oil and scheduled maintenance, inspecting steering, suspension, and brake systems, installing batteries and checking electrical systems, tire maintenance, installing parts, road testing vehicles, and assisting customers by explaining repairs. Requires ability to learn basic mechanical tasks, a valid driver’s license, and basic reading/writing/math skills. ASE certification or progression toward A1–A8 within two years is encouraged. Compensation is based on a flat-rate pay model with regional variations; benefits and opportunities for professional development are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks. Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles. Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes Basic inspections Repairing tires Reading, writing, and math skills.
