Job Summary
Automotive Technician needed to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles within Bridgestone Retail Operations. Responsibilities include changing oil and performing scheduled maintenance, inspecting steering, suspension, and brake systems, installing batteries and checking electrical systems, performing tire maintenance, installing parts, and road-testing vehicles. Role involves interacting with customers to explain repair procedures and provide high-quality service. Opportunity to build foundational skills under supervision, with performance-based compensation (flat-rate pay) reflecting regional productivity. Must work toward ASE certifications (A1–A8) within the first two years; company supports ASE tests and related costs. Qualifications emphasize ability to learn basic mechanical tasks, a valid driver's license, and basic automotive maintenance knowledge; 2 years of automotive repair experience or vocational-technical training and ASE or equivalent certifications are preferred. Required Qualifications
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes, Basic inspections, Repairing tires, Reading, writing, and math skills
- A.S.E certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications within two years (preferred)
