Job Summary
Automotive Technician role within Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) automotive service team. Learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Participate in routine inspections, assist in repair procedures, and interact with customers to explain procedures and provide quality service. Responsibilities include changing oil and other scheduled maintenance, inspecting steering/suspension/brake systems, installing batteries and checking electrical systems, performing tire maintenance, installing parts, and road-testing vehicles. Pursue ASE certifications (A1–A8) within the first two years of employment. Pay is based on a flat-rate performance model with rates reflecting regional averages. Must have a valid driver’s license and basic math, reading, and writing skills. Preferred qualifications include 2 years of automotive repair experience or related technical training and ASE certifications or equivalent qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Valid automobile driver's license at all times and ability to drive customer and company vehicles
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance and tire repair services including oil changes
