Job Summary
The Automotive Technician role at Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) involves learning and performing preventive maintenance and repair tasks on vehicles under supervision. Responsibilities include oil changes, tire maintenance, inspections of steering/suspension/brake systems, battery installation, electrical system checks, road testing, and communicating with customers about repair procedures. The position requires basic mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, basic reading/writing/mathematics skills, and the ability to learn; ASE certifications must be obtained/maintained within two years. The pay range is $15.75-$23.67 per hour under a flat-rate model, with company-provided training and opportunities for ASE certification, benefits, and career development.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes Basic inspections
- Repairing tires
- Reading, writing, and math skills.
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company).
