Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certification levels and perform repairs outlined on multi-point inspection and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including store managers, service consultants, and customers. Recommend services to keep customer vehicles in running condition and properly document all recommendations in the customer file. Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the shop foreman or store manager. Maintain appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications. Work Monday through Saturday, standing up to eight hours per day, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess current, valid driver's license
- Must be able to work Monday - Saturday
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Hear and speak
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
