Job Summary
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on vehicle systems including engine, transmission, drivability, suspension, steering, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems. Diagnose and resolve complex bumper-to-bumper vehicle concerns utilizing diagnostic equipment, schematics, technical service information, and testing procedures. Complete repairs accurately and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards. Conduct vehicle inspections and identify recommended maintenance and repair needs. Document diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and recommendations clearly and thoroughly. Collaborate with service advisors and shop management to communicate repair status and technical findings. Maintain productivity and efficiency standards while delivering high-quality repairs. Stay current on evolving automotive technologies, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), hybrid, and electric vehicle systems. Assist in troubleshooting challenging repairs and support fellow technicians as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of automotive technician experience
- Proven bumper-to-bumper diagnostic experience with the ability to identify and repair complex vehicle issues
- Strong understanding of electrical diagnostics, drivability concerns, and modern vehicle technology
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, technical service bulletins, and repair procedures
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Own professional automotive tools required to perform repairs
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a dealership or highline/luxury automotive environment preferred
- BMW experience
