Job Summary
Automotive Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing brake, front-end and alignment maintenance, and other mechanical work in accordance with company programs. Responsibilities include coaching others, maintaining workflow and productivity, extending Big O’s Extra Care Services, attending weekly safety/policy meetings, meeting service-related quotas, ensuring accurate invoicing, utilizing the outside purchase program for profitability, completing required training, ensuring vehicle inspection program execution, achieving service/sales goals, and assisting with documentation and adjustments. Preferred skills include ASE certifications, ability to work independently and in a team, fast pace, strong verbal communication, sales ability, prioritization and multi-tasking, attention to detail, and educational assistance opportunities. Must meet age, licensing, and English language requirements and have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience as a lube/tire/service technician
- Current Motor Vehicle Inspection License (Missouri based stores)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States of America
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to meet company pre-employment screenings
- Ability to read, write, speak English
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
- Ability to move and position self to retrieve product and supplies
- Ability to safely operate vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions
- Ability to exchange accurate information with customers
