Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, or safety concerns. Complete repairs and maintenance tasks including engine, brake, and suspension work. Utilize diagnostic equipment and computerized systems to troubleshoot complex automotive problems. Perform routine services like oil changes and fluid flushes to ensure vehicle reliability. Verify repairs through quality control checks and test drives. Communicate with customers to explain recommendations and provide estimates. Mentor junior technicians and apprentices as needed. Maintain accurate inspection records and a clean, safe work environment. Collaborate with management to coordinate workflow and execute business plans.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work within the United States while employed by Leeds West Groups
- An active and unrestricted driver's license
- Prior industry knowledge and/or experience
- Must meet consistent attendance expectations
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more
- Must have adequate vision, hearing and speaking abilities
- Must be able to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, driving, climbing, and other repetitive motions
- Must be able to work long hours in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines
- Must be able to work Monday through Saturday and Sunday
- Must be able to work at various locations
- Must be able to work overtime
- Must be able to travel up to 25% between local stores
- Must be able to maintain a clean driving record
- Must adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, weapons, violence, harassment, or discrimination
- Must conduct themselves positively, respectfully, ethically, and professionally
- Must comply with OSHA safe workplace standards
- Must wear and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must adhere to uniform standards
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of automotive technical training program
- A minimum of one year of related experience
- ASE or other relevant certifications
