Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, maintenance, or safety concerns. Complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently, including engine, brake, and suspension work, while utilizing diagnostic equipment and computerized systems to troubleshoot complex problems. Perform routine services like oil changes and tire rotations, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Communicate with customers to explain recommendations and provide estimates, while collaborating with management to coordinate workflow and mentor junior technicians. Maintain accurate inspection records and uphold workplace safety protocols in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Required Qualifications
- The minimum age requirement of eighteen years
- An active and unrestricted driver's license
- Prior industry knowledge and/or experience
- Must be legally authorized to work within the United States while employed by Leeds West Groups
- Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Strong sense of integrity

- Extensive knowledge of the automotive industry
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures

- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment, including scan tools, multimeters, and computerized diagnostic software, and Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI)
- Strong and clear understanding and knowledge of the proper use of shop equipment, tools, and fluids
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing automotive technologies, methods, and best practices
- Proficient in inventory and expense management
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced sales environment
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to manage priorities, multitask, and complete objectives with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet consistent attendance expectations
- Physical strength, agility, dexterity, and endurance

- Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more

- Must be able to perform quality control checks and test-drive vehicles
- Must be able to raise any accidents or other service issues that require service work beyond what was originally scheduled
- Must be able to prepare and maintain thorough, consistent, and accurate inspection records
- Must be able to complete test drives correctly and in accordance with company policy, procedures, safety best practices, and traffic laws
- Must be able to ensure all repair and maintenance work meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards for quality and safety
- Must be able to provide legendary customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Must be able to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor
- Must be able to complete vehicle inspections to identify potential mechanical, electrical, maintenance, or other automotive needs and safety concerns
- Must be able to perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, filter replacements, and more
- Must be able to ensure vehicle reliability and longevity
- Must be able to exceed business goals
