Job Summary
Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles, including light engine work, transmissions, clutches, electrical systems, HVAC, steering, and suspension. Conduct multi-point inspections using assigned forms, document work on repair orders, and communicate with service advisors regarding additional needs or delays. Perform preventive maintenance services, utilize manufacturer training, and conduct road tests to confirm repairs. Maintain manufacturer Customer Satisfaction Index goals and ensure vehicles are returned clean. Complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards. Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards and report any safety or integrity concerns to management.
Required Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician experience
- Must have basic tools
- Must have great technical and mechanical skills
- Must be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test)
Desired Qualifications
- ASE certifications heavily preferred
- Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred
