Job Summary
Diagnose issues through analysis and testing, perform routine service inspections, and complete standard maintenance jobs on automobiles and light trucks. Repair assigned vehicles while maintaining cleanliness and ensuring documentation compliance with regulations. Uphold shop safety standards by stocking inventory and following all environmental rules, while attending required training and staff meetings. Drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles with a clean record, and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds as needed. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience
- Two years of dealer-level or large facility experience
- ASE certification
- Virginia State Inspection License
- Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Highly professional and dependable
- Safety and customer service-oriented
- Basic computer and internet skills
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred
