Job Summary
Conduct complete system diagnostics, automotive troubleshooting, and vehicle testing in accordance with factory and dealership standards. Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles while maintaining an organized shop area and complying with safety policies. Road-test vehicles to ensure quality work and communicate directly with service advisors regarding service status. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques while adhering to Group 1 Automotive values of transparency, professionalism, and teamwork. Earn a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified technicians.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical or electrical background
- Experience in automotive, electrical or aircraft repair
- An ability to work on commission and produce results
- Technical school or equivalent training
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Efficient and accurate work in accordance with dealership's and factory standards
- Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing
- Maintain an organized shop area
- Road-test vehicles to ensure quality work
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques
- Adhere to Group 1 Automotive values: Transparency, Professionalism and Teamwork
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in automotive, electrical or aircraft repair (highly preferred)
- ASE certification (a plus but not required)
