Job Summary
Respond to customer and internal technical inquiries via phone, email, and support platforms, troubleshooting routine installation, operation, and performance concerns. Confirm product applications using approved catalog resources, assist customers in selecting correct replacement parts, and research interchange requests. Provide guidance on installation procedures, document interactions and findings, and escalate complex issues to Catalog, Product, Engineering, Quality, or Claims. Maintain and update the technical knowledge base with common questions, solutions, FAQs, and installation guides while identifying opportunities to improve support resources.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- automotive technical education
- 2+ years of automotive aftermarket experience
- Experience as an automotive parts counter professional
- Experience as a service advisor
- Experience as a service writer
- Experience as an automotive technician
- Experience as an automotive customer support representative
- Strong automotive mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of filtration systems
- Working knowledge of cooling systems
- Working knowledge of ignition systems
- Working knowledge of steering systems
- Working knowledge of wiper systems
- Working knowledge of other common aftermarket replacement parts
- Familiarity with automotive catalog systems
- Familiarity with electronic parts lookup tools
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with customer support software
Desired Qualifications
- ASE Certification(s)
- Experience supporting customers by phone
