Job Summary
Lead, motivate, and support a team of production associates during the first shift while ensuring production goals and quality standards are consistently achieved. Monitor workflow, assign tasks to maximize productivity, and perform regular quality inspections to address production issues promptly. Train new employees, provide ongoing coaching, and enforce all safety policies and procedures. Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to resolve concerns, maintain accurate records, and assist with changeovers and continuous improvement initiatives. Foster a positive, team-oriented environment in our automotive manufacturing facility in Sterling Heights.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds throughout the shift
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Team Leader, Lead, or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- High school diploma or GED
