Job Summary
Automotive Store Manager responsible for leading and developing a high-performing automotive retail team, driving sales, managing KPIs and P&L, overseeing inventory and cash controls, ensuring OSHA/EHS compliance, and delivering a five-star guest experience. The role requires recruiting, hiring, coaching, and performance management of staff, setting game plans, executing playbooks to achieve targets, and maintaining operational excellence through budgeting, scheduling, audits, and policy adherence. Nice-to-have qualifications include ASE certifications, multi-brand experience, bilingual Spanish/English, and a track record of operational and sales leadership in a high-volume setting.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years store or service management in automotive (or high-volume retail with strong service & P&L ownership)
- Proven sales leadership: hits targets, builds pipeline, lifts average RO & close rates
- People leader: hires well, coaches often, holds standards, retains talent
- Operational athlete: confident with KPIs, scheduling, inventory, and cash controls
- Customer-first communicator who builds trust with clear explanations and follow-through
- Valid driver’s license; able to assist with shop flow (periodic lifting up to 70 lbs)
- Open availability, including weekends, to lead the store through our busiest guest-facing hours
