Job Summary
Own the front counter by greeting customers, writing repair orders, and guiding them from estimate to invoice. Recommend and sell maintenance, repair, and tire work by translating technician findings into clear recommendations customers understand and approve. Coordinate with techs to keep the shop schedule moving and promises kept while maintaining a sharp, organized, and professional front desk. This role includes a 5-day, 45–50 hour week including Saturdays at a high-volume Halco Group Midas store in Southfield, Metro Detroit. Base pay ranges from $70,000 to $98,800 with uncapped commission on sales.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in automotive service writing, parts counter, or a customer-facing sales role
- Basic automotive knowledge and real interest in the industry
- Strong communicator who can juggle phones, walk-ins, and a full schedule board
- Comfortable with point-of-sale systems and digital inspection tools
- Must be available for Saturdays
- Must be able to work a 5-day, 45–50 hour week
