Job Summary
Examine and diagnose vehicles, discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor, and communicate additional service requests. Plan work procedures in cooperation with the foreman, provide labor time estimates, and monitor repair time while updating the service advisor regularly. Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation, complete story and documentation for client repairs, and assist in mentoring technician trainees. Keep current with factory technical bulletins, understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal, and ensure all vehicles are clean and free of grease. Apply proper use of PPE and adhere to safety standards in the shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One-three years of related experience and training
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
- Able to pass pre-employment background checks, MVR, and drug screen
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
