Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards while performing thorough inspections with accurate documentation. Identify mechanical and electrical issues, recommend solutions, and communicate findings clearly to the Service team. Conduct road tests and pre-delivery inspections on new inventory, coordinate with the Parts Department for sourcing and warranty labeling, and assist fellow technicians to maintain shop productivity. Partner with Service Advisors to provide updates on repair timelines and ensure a clean, safe work environment. This full-time, permanent role includes Saturday rotations and reports to the Service Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certification or currently in the process of challenging it
- Previous experience as an automotive technician
- A valid Manitoba Driver's license
- A satisfactory Driver's Abstract
- Able to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- A keen attention to detail
- Detail oriented
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- The ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- The ability to work the physical requirements of a service technician role
- The ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time
- High level of mobility, dexterity, endurance, and sensory awareness
- The ability to work in an automotive shop environment
