Job Summary
Retrieve customer vehicles into service and review service orders to inspect for additional repairs or malfunctions by test driving or troubleshooting. Apply technical knowledge to diagnose causes of vehicle malfunctions, obtain final approval for additional repairs, and perform maintenance service work according to approved quality and efficiency standards. Safely utilize all tools and equipment, retain and tag removed parts under warranty, and test-drive vehicles to assure proper operation per Department of Motor Vehicle standards. Complete vehicle inspections, service paperwork, and maintain a clean work area while adhering to safety requirements. Maintain time clocks, discard hazardous materials properly, and attend classes and meetings to retain technical competence.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience working as a technician/mechanic in a service department or something similar
- Must have experience working on a variety of cars
- Inspector's License (within required time frames)
- Valid Driver's License
