Job Summary
Examine vehicles to determine required safety or service work, prepare complete repair reports, and estimate flat-rate times using supplied manuals. Perform all work outlined on the repair order with accuracy, order parts upon authorization, and road-test vehicles after service affecting drivability. Supervise apprentice technicians, attend factory and dealer training, and maintain clean bay and bench standards while disposing of hazardous waste in compliance with regulations. Ensure customer vehicles remain clean and complete all tasks in a timely fashion.
Required Qualifications
- Automotive Service Technician, fully licensed (310S or higher)
- 3-5 years experience with automotive mechanical operations
- Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and succeed
- Must be team oriented, hardworking with a positive attitude
- Grade 12 diploma or GED
- Work effectively without supervision
- Proven knowledge and experience with automotive mechanical operations
- Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be reliable and able to work productively
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- May be required to work on Saturday as per business needs
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Personable, reliable, courteous
- Must be team oriented, and hardworking with a positive attitude
- Excellent diagnostic and electrical skills
