Job Summary
Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic Entry Level responsible for performing oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and more; conduct state-mandated emission and safety inspections; troubleshoot guest concerns with a team; complete thorough vehicle inspections and maintenance reports; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; maintain high safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards; requires own tools, NC state inspector certification, valid driver's license, ability to lift 50+ pounds, and comfort working in a high-volume automotive shop; benefits include health insurance, PTO, 401(k) with match, and ASE certification reimbursement; location is Huntersville, NC; in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience working in an automotive shop
- Must have your own tools and box
- Must have active NC state inspectors certificate
- Hands-on experience performing oil changes
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift as needed for automotive shop work
- Ability to stand for long periods during shifts
- Ability to work in a typical automotive shop environment, including exposure to heat
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
- Drive manual transmission vehicles
