Job Summary
Diagnose and repair client and dealership vehicles while maintaining strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation. Examine vehicles to determine the nature and extent of damage or malfunction, then discuss findings with the Shop Foreman or Service Advisor as needed. Communicate additional service requests to the Service Advisor, provide labor time estimates, and monitor repair status to update clients frequently. Complete documentation for all repairs, keep work areas clean, and attend weekly department meetings. Maintain current knowledge of factory technical bulletins and follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal. Wear approved safety glasses in designated areas and assist Technician Trainees as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Operator's Driver's License
- State Inspection License
