Job Summary
Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools. Perform repairs on brakes, suspension, belts, hoses, tires, and other key systems while completing routine maintenance services such as oil changes and tire rotations. Maintain accurate, detailed repair records and communicate recommendations to service management to ensure high-quality repairs meet manufacturer and dealership standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills (or willingness to learn)
- Commitment to quality workmanship and excellent customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership service department
Desired Qualifications
- high school diploma/GED or automotive technical school training (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 2+ years of automotive repair or technician experience preferred
- ASE Certifications (one or more)
- GM / General Motors brand experience
- Previous dealership service department experience
- Advanced diagnostic and electrical repair expertise
