Job Summary
Perform customer vehicle basic maintenance and repairs, including lube, oil and filter changes, tire rotation, and brake service. Diagnose drivability concerns using scan tools, administer drive clean emission tests, and perform exhaust system repairs and four-wheel alignments. Communicate with Service Advisors and Licensed Technicians to provide accurate estimates and written vehicle reports. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and report unsafe vehicles to management. Work shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license for province of employment
- Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, twisting, turning and reaching
- Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
- Knowledge of current automobile technology
- Ability to work effectively with computerized systems
- Results-oriented
- Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role, in a Canadian Tire Automotive Service Centre (asset)
- Good working knowledge of COSTAR (asset)
