Job Summary
Automotive Service Technician tasked with performing vehicle repairs and routine maintenance per repair orders and manufacturer standards. Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles and diagnosing problems, performing quality auto repair and maintenance, checking fluid levels and tire pressures, communicating with parts department to obtain parts, saving and tagging parts, road testing vehicles, reporting issues to supervisors, maintaining documentation on repairs, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, keeping the shop area neat and clean, and working with a team to meet dealership standards. The role emphasizes competency with tools and diagnostic equipment, adherence to safety protocols (OSHA Right-to-Know, hazardous waste disposal), and contributing to customer satisfaction and shop efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Automotive Lube Tech, Mechanic experience is required
- Dealership experience is preferred
- Experience with latest automotive technologies and shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, A/C equipment, etc.
- Reliable with good work ethic and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and team player
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
