Job Summary
As a Service Center Automotive Technician at Blain's Farm & Fleet, you will perform a wide range of automotive services including tire repair and installation, wheel balancing, battery and headlamp installation, oil changes, brake system repair, starting and charging system repairs, steering and suspension work, shock/strut installation, alignments, and trailer hitch/wiring installations, with on-the-job training for additional duties. The role requires excellent customer service, the ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks, valid driver's license, English communication skills, and availability to work evenings and at least every other weekend. ASE certifications are required for certain Tech Levels in Michigan stores, with additional certifications or equivalents as mandated. Must be at least 18 years old; prior auto repair experience is preferred, as is prior retail experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must have great communication skills
- Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks
- Ability to read and speak English
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior auto repair experience is preferred
- Prior retail experience preferred
- Michigan Stores Only ASE A4 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level II and ASE A3, A4, A5 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level III OR equivalent Michigan certifications
