Job Summary
Service Center Automotive Technician performs a wide range of automotive services and duties in our Automotive Service Center, including tire repair and installation, wheel balance, battery and lighting installation, oil changes, brake system repair, starting and charging systems, steering and suspension, shock/strut installation, and wheel alignments, with on-the-job training. Emphasizes excellent customer service and effective communication with customers and coworkers; requires the ability to work evenings and every other weekend, pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks, read and speak English, and be at least 18. Michigan stores require ASE A4/A6 (Tech II) or ASE A3/A4/A5/A6 (Tech III) certifications or equivalent Michigan certifications. The role is located in Rockford, Illinois. Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must have great communication skills
- Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks
- Ability to read and speak English
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior auto repair experience is preferred
- Prior retail experience preferred
- Michigan Stores Only ASE A4 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level II and ASE A3, A4, A5 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level III OR equivalent Michigan certifications
