Job Summary
As a Service Center Automotive Technician at Blain's Farm & Fleet, you will perform a wide range of automotive services in our service center, including tire repair and installation, wheel balancing, battery and headlamp installation, oil changes, brake system repair, and other duties as trained. Excellent customer service and clear communication with customers and coworkers are essential. The role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to work evenings and at least every other weekend, and compliance with pre-employment drug screening and background checks. Prior auto repair and retail experience are preferred. ASE certifications (A4/A6 for Tech II, and A3/A4/A5/A6 for Tech III in Michigan, or equivalent Michigan certifications) may be required depending on the tech level. Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must have great communication skills
- Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks
- Ability to read and speak English
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior auto repair experience preferred
- Prior retail experience preferred
- Michigan stores only: ASE A4 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level II and ASE A3, A4, A5 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level III OR equivalent Michigan certifications
