Job Summary
Coordinate with technicians, answer guest inquiries, and prepare estimates for customers while maintaining an organized repair log. Distribute service tickets to technicians based on workload and difficulty, and review digital vehicle inspections to ensure repairs meet proper specifications. Manage the complete parts process, including ordering, receiving, verification, staging, inventory control, pricing, returns, and warranty claims. Build relationships with part supply vendors and tool vendors to ensure the right tools and equipment are available. Prioritize technician workloads with part availability and stage parts to minimize downtime. Schedule maintenance for shop equipment and prepare lists of needed service department supplies. Work Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm in a high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications
- Prior automotive industry experience
- Commercial Parts Experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrates a strong team-player mindset
- Proven guest service and customer relations experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Windows-based computer software and automotive store applications
- Being dependable and reliable for a position that is scheduled for Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm
- Being on your feet the majority of the workday
- Occasionally lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
Desired Qualifications
- service advising, estimating, or shop operations experience
- Previous experience in an Automotive Sales, Advisor/Writer, or Estimator/Dispatcher position
