Job Summary
Midas automotive service B technician skilled at diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities include diagnostics using computer systems, tires and tire repair, A/C heating, steering and suspension, belts and hoses, radiator and engine cooling, batteries/starting/charging, brakes, oil changes, check engine light, mufflers/exhaust, and safety inspections. Requires knowledge of brakes, exhaust, suspension, engine diagnostics, and a track record of high personal productivity; must adhere to safety and environmental standards. High school diploma or equivalent, state auto repair certifications, valid driver’s license, and owning tools/equipment are required; experience with foreign and domestic vehicles preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- State-specific auto repair certifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner/tools preferred)
- Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
- Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, & engine diagnostics
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and scan tools
